The Incompletes centres around a collection of found lists collected between 2007-19. By exploring the psychology of list writing, in particular the Zeigarnik effect (our ability to recall incomplete tasks) I make an inquiry into the potential for anxiety reduction or elevation and the exploitation of this effect in our desire to close a narrative. The works play with the cathartic act of making and the catharsis of List writing.

The Incompletes displays the apparent completion or realisation of rejected ideas which might be folded away or potentially discarded.
